    NPP/0038: Port Security (Operation Phase)

    All network infrastructure, hardware and software to provide a port wide security and control system. The security and control system will be designed, constructed, installed, tested and commissioned by the successful Contractor.

    Key elements include: Secure perimeter fencing, pedestrian and vehicle gate control facilities, complete CCTV system, security lighting, intruder detection and alert system, pedestrian and vehicle identification system, search and scanning facilities, secure communications system and control room facilities.

    NPP/0037: QENFB Quay Wall and Basin Revetments

    Complete scope of work for construction of the quay walls (3.6 km quay walls), revetments along the basin perimeter and associated marine works.

    Key elements include: Dredging, reclamation and breakwater construction. Paving, drainage, lighting, firewater, etc. Navigation aids, walkways and floating pontoons, revetments and flood protection bunds along the basin perimeter.

    NPP/0046: QENFB Access Bridge

    The Qatar Emiri Naval Forces Base (QENFB) Access Bridge is an approximately 1300m long connection from shoreline to the Navy Base island. Main components of the QENFB Access Bridge includes but not limited to:

    • A 300m multi-span bridge structure section crossing the main tidal lagoon inlet at the QENFB side

    • A 225m multi-span bridge structure section at the shoreline side

    • A 695m embankment causeway in between and

    • Bridge approach embankment at the shoreline side

    The overall scope of work for the QENFB Access Bridge design-build contract includes but not limited to:

    • Detailed design and construction of Access Bridge components

    • Detailed design and construction of artscape to enhance the visual effect of bridge structures

    • Detailed Design of landscaping and irrigation system for embankment causeway and approach roadway embankment sections

    The CCIA package comprises the design and construction of all infrastructure, utility (including utility buildings) and buildings located on a plot to the north of the new port basin.     Within the scope of this package the New Port Project shall be purchasing the plant and equipment as detailed below on a supply & installation basis:

    • Dangerous materials vehicle (nuclear, biohazard, chemical).

    • Water tankers up to 36,000l (locomotive and trailer system).

    • Water suction pumps and Mobile lighting unit.

    Heavy fire fighting vehicles (capacity: water of 6000 liters & foam of 500 liters and with centrifugal fire pump complete with ancillary equipment)

    Medium fire fighting vehicles (capacity: water of 2000 liters & foam of 200 liters and with centrifugal fire pump complete with ancillary equipment)

    Heavy emergency rescue vehicles (with storage lockers, cable winch, generator, hydraulic pump and crane complete with ancillary equipment)

    Fire fighting water tank (capacity of 15,000 liters with centrifugal fire pump and electrical system)

    Decontamination unit (water capacity of 1,500 liters with 20KVA power generator)

    The driver’s cabin type and capacity for all fire fighting vehicles shall be as follows:

    • Forward control type with hydraulically operated tilting.

    • Fitting for 1 driver and 6 crew and 5 fire fighting crew.

    The fire fighting water tanker should fit for 1 driver and 3 crew with 2 fire fighting crew.

    In addition, no specific certificate is required but all should be in compliance with the specifications before acceptance by the purchaser.
